Meet The Instructor

Nina Welch-Kling

Nina is a New York City-based street photographer, originally from a small town in southern Germany. Nina earned a B.F.A. with a focus in Interior Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1990 and an M.F.A. in Architecture from The University of California, Los Angeles in 1993. She has lived in New York City since 1995, married and raising her two college-aged daughters. Nina’s work has been included in the 2019 exhibition “Women Street Photographers” at El Barrio’s Artspace PS109 in New York City, as well as the 2019 “Women Street Photographers” at the Brussels Street Photography Festival, Belgium. Her work has appeared in lectures including, Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary at Xposure in Sharjah, UAE, as well as has been featured on Fisheye Magazine Instagram Gallery. Publications include LensMagazine and the Photographic Society of America Journal.
