Registration is open for Gather Academy’s 2023 Creative Project. 

BUT we are in the process of wrapping up our 2022 52 Week Challenge at Gather Academy and we are excited to share some of the beautiful creations from our 2022 Artists. 

Our first featured Gather Academy Artist is Ann Taylor. Ann is English & currently living in the rural county of Shropshire, UK.  She has been taking photographs of nature on & off for many decades. Recently, she has been able to give more time to her photography over the past few years. She found Gather initially through Kathleen Clemons courses & has kept participating since then.

What was your favorite part of the 2022 week community photo challenge?

I enjoyed being challenged to contribute to different themes each month, many of which were way outside of my usual photographic interests, & seeing & learning from other people’s interpretations.

Did you set any goals for 2022?

I set some general goals regarding my creative development as a photographer and also some specific ones related to learning/practicing new techniques.

If yes, did you achieve them? How did the group help?

They are all work in progress. Looking at the work of my fellow group members provided insight & illustration as to how my work could be improved. 

What is your favorite part of joining the group? 

It is a very supportive group with talented members. The different interpretations of the same theme were always very interesting & inspiring
